Open to teens, pre-teens, college interns, and other interested people.
Develop the essential skills of a virtuoso performer. Learn techniques to be more alive. Enhance your ability to be in the moment, to be open with deep emotional flow, and to be naturally authentic. Unpretentious acting, spontaneous writing, kinesthetic movement, and new music composition. Unleash your quirkiness, create an a-typical performance and (if you are in high school) earn a stipend through After School Matters.
Expert directors lead participants in an intensive daily practice of organic mind/body artistic process. Techniques to enhance presence, emotional flow and spontaneity come from physical exploration, spontaneous writing, character interactions and music jamming. Former students of theater director Ron Bieganski went on to Julliard, NYU, Northwestern and have careers as professional artists. Musical director Stone Damon is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who plays with many bands. Their art has taken them around the world. They are dedicated to sharing everything they know so you can artistically evolve. Summer is just the beginning.
