Abe Mendoza

Abe was an ensemble member at Free Street from the fall of 2006 through the summer of 2009. He died on August 20, 2010 in a hiking accident.

​Abe was about to begin his sophomore year studying chemistry and photography at Bard College. He was hiking in the Catskills with his fellow RAs when he climbed up a waterfall and fell.

Abe was a phenomenal person who was curious about the world and the people he met. We've been inspired by his creativity and his generosity. We all knew he was going to change the world.
