Curiosity Club School's Out Workshop
9:30-3:30 (please ask if you need before/after care)
Bezazian Chicago Public Library
1226 W. Ainslie
Curiosity Club will explore physically, imaginatively, and intellectually. The day will offer structured and consciously unstructured activities. Groups are kept purposely small so all participants have space to influence the day. Peer to peer interaction and inspiration is encouraged. Each School's Out Workshop is designed around a theme
Workshops are offered as a pay-what-you-can tiered donation experiment. Sibling discounts are expected. Because of the generosity of those who offer to support others, scholarships are always available. (Even full scholarships.) I believe it is to everyone's advantage to have income diversity in the group. I'm grateful to everyone who makes that possible.
Friday Jan 5, 2017: New Beginnings
A typical day starts with letting everyone know the plan, meeting each other through games and physical activities, doing research and experiments about our theme, lunch, sharing time - where kids suggest group activities which can range from going to the playground to playing hide & seek in the dark to sharing a special skill they have like drawing comic books or offering a karate lesson, delving into an art project, and then closing the day with some reflection and calming release.

School's Out Workshops are modeled after the Curiosity Club Summer camp which I've designed and taught since 2011. Take a look.
