Monday May 28 : Special Playgroup Edition

 Curiosity Club School's Out Workshop
for kids ages 4-7
9:00-3:o0
at Playgroup (in Logan Square)

This special edition of Curiosity Club will explore launching programming for inquisitive kids who are transitioning into early elementary school grades.. It will provide opportunities for big kids who are ready for more challenging ideas and kid inspired group play.

Teaching alongside with Anita Evans, will be two 10 year-old kids who met when they were toddlers at Playgroup.  They have both been in Curiosity Club for three years.

Workshops are offered as a pay-what-you-can tiered donation experiment.  Because of the generosity of those who offer to support others, scholarships are always available. (Even full scholarships.)  I believe it is to everyone's advantage to have income diversity in the group. I'm grateful to everyone who makes that possible.

Monday May 28, 2018:  Special Playgroup Edition at Playgroup
A typical day starts with letting everyone know the plan, meeting each other through games and physical activities, doing research and experiments about our theme, lunch, sharing time - where kids suggest group activities which can range from going to the playground to playing hide & seek in the dark to sharing a special skill they have like drawing comic books or offering a karate lesson,  delving into an art project, and then closing the day with some reflection and calming release.

Any questions please contact Anita Evans: anita@neurokitchen.org
School's Out Workshops are modeled after the Curiosity Club Summer camp which I've designed and taught since 2011. Take a look.
