Park Kids
Free Street was the first Arts Partner in Residence in the Chicago Park District. They created a unique partnership which allowed for arts organization to barter for space in the parks. As part of this exchange, Free Street offered free workshops in visual arts, dance, and theater to kids attending the after-school program at Pulaski Park and other Chicago Parks. Free Street also toured to many parks over the summer presenting free theater performances for kids in Chicago Park daycamps which were created by teens in Free Street's TeenStreet jobs program.
Many people taught in this program, among them long term teaching artists Debi Winston Buzil and Monica Kimrey.
